The origin of my passion to Single Malt Whisky was born in 1997 and intensified since 2006 when I had a flight of the Laphroaig single malt whisky aged 10, 15, 30 and 40 years at the Munich Whisky & Bar Festival. From 2011 onwards the next step was done by visiting Scotland at least once a year in a well-planned and prepared tour.
To share this love to the Scottish countryside, the Scottish people and their hospitality, the knowledge of how to make single malt whisky out of water, barley and yeast as well as to taste a variety of these different handcrafted products we finally founded “The Whisky Gentlemen e.V.” in 2013. Now operating from this base we could perform whisky tastings in combination with well-chosen menus at a nice ambience gathering interested people and enjoying the fun together with this enthusiastic community.
